Dr. Abdullah Abdullah is a popular and political leader in Afghanistan, one of the closest friends of the national hero of the country, martyr Ahmad Shah Massoud, an eye doctor, a resistance fighter, a former foreign minister, a presidential candidate, a former executive director and a former head of the High Council for National Reconciliation.
He has been one of the key political figures in Afghanistan who has held many important positions during his brilliant political career. From the early days of the Afghan national resistance against the invasion of the former Soviet Union, to the resistance for the freedom of his country from the forces of terrorism and extremism, Dr. Abdullah's relentless efforts for the independence of his people and his commitment to a peaceful and democratic Afghanistan have earned him national and international credibility.
